The Best of Brought To Life - 250

1. THE BUTTHOLE SURFERS - 'Suicide' - Alternative Tentacles MLP - USA - 1983
The early Surfers were a far different beast to what they became during the Touch and Go years. This is from their first MLP, later retitled 'Brown Reason To Live'.
2. GRAND UNION - 'Rozzlyn Rangers' - Demo - USA - 1981
Well, Grand Union were Skewbald were Rozzlyn Rangers - in 1981 anyway. Not sure this is from the '81 demo but my old cassette copy had it on so I'm going with it.
3. THE BAGS - 'TV Dinner' - Live - USA - 1978
From 'Live From The Masque' Volume 1. More live Bags here
4. THE MISFITS - 'Night Of The Living Dead' – Demo – USA – 1980
Early versions of Misfits songs are plentiful. This is from '12 Hits From Hell - The MSP Sessions'. And just for the hell of it, here's a live classic.
5. DINOSAUR Jr. - 'Kracked' - SST LP - USA -1987
Dinosaur Jr. were a bit meandering for many people, but they did have their moments. This is from 'Youre Living All Over Me'. Hit that wah wah pedal!

A Dickies song that never appeared elsewhere! From 'Live From The Masque' Volume 3.
7. Y TRWYNAU COCH - 'Beth Sy'n Dod Rhyngom Ni' - Recordiau   Coch LP– UK – 1980
A catchy powerpop number from their ‘Rhedeg Rhag Y Torpidos’ album. Unmistakeably Welsh.

From 'Live From The Masque' Volume 3. Another hot live recording here
10. THE MISFITS - 'Vampira'Demo – USA – 1980
My personal favourite version of the song. 'Black dress moves in a blue movie . . .' From '12 Hits From Hell - The MSP Sessions'.
11. THE BUTTHOLE SURFERS - 'Hey'Alternative Tentacles MLP - USA - 1983
A strange one from 'Brown Reason To Live'. At this point we had no idea just how strange they'd actually become.

16. GRAND UNION - 'You're Not Fooling Me' - Demo - USA -1981
Another track from their demo.
17. THE CUNTS - 'Chemicals In The Mail' – Disturbing 7” – USA - 1978
OK, this is a terrible recording, so if anyone has a better-sounding rip I'd very much like to hear it. I reckon Flipper had this in mind when they wrote 'Get Away'.
18. THE EYES - 'The Happy Song'Live - USA - 1978
From 'Live From The Masque' Volume 3.
19. DINOSAUR Jr. - 'The Wagon' - Sub Pop 7" - USA - 1990

A fourth selection from '12 Hits From Hell - The MSP Sessions'.
21. BULDOGI - 'V Kotu Sveta' - Demo - Yugoslavia - 1979
