From 'Not So Humdrum' - probably the best Sydney comp. of the era.
3 .CIRCLE JERKS - 'World Up My Ass' - Frontier LP - USA - 1980
'Group Sex' is a short album but a goodie. Their first. Here's the band still doing it 24 years later.
4. BLACK MARKET BABY - 'Downward Christian Soldiers' - Fountain Of Youth LP - USA - 1983
Another great first album, first track. 'Senseless Offerings' was the only one the did in the '80s but there's a few comps with lots of extra demos, etc, available ('Baby On Board', 'Baby Takes' for example). 12 years later it sounded like this.
5. LAMA - 'Turpa Kinni Ja Nussi' - Johanna LP - Finland - 1982
Again, from the first (only) LP. They were really hitting their stride at this point, only to split up the following year. And these days?
6. PEKINŠKA PATKA - 'Ja Sam Panker U Sakou Starom' - Jugoton LP - Yugoslavia - 1980
From the first album, and you hardly need me to tell you that it's a belter. Here, have a video.
7. TEENAGE HEAD - 'Top Down' - Inter Global Music LP - Canada - 1979
First track, first album again. From Hamilton, Ontario. I think there's a different version on a 7" too.
8. THE DICKS - 'Pigs Run Wild' - SST LP - USA - 1983
'Well it's an old fuckin' story, but that don't make it right'. From 'Kill From The Heart'. The best Dicks song in my humble opinion, criminally left off the Alternative Tentacles 'Best Of' CD due to (justified) use of the 'N' word. OK, so it would have caused them problems, but there's a huge problem with releasing a 'Best Of' CD without their best track even on it. Hrrumph.
9. CHANNEL 3 - 'Catholic Boy' - Posh Boy LP - USA - 1982
The first Channel 3 album ('Fear Of Life') is a mixed bag. Some classics, some bad mistakes. Worth it for the classics though.
10. CIRCLE JERKS - 'Operation' - Frontier LP - USA - 1980
Another from 'Group Sex'.
11. HANS-A-PLAST - 'Spielfilm' - No Fun LP - Germany - 1981
First track from the second LP with the 'map sleeve'. Almost as good as the first.
12. HAPPY HATE ME NOTS - 'The Build Up' - Aberrant LP - Australia - 1984
Another from the 'Not So Humdrum' comp. LP.
13. THE AUTOMATICS - 'Walking With The Radio On' - Demo - UK - 1978
One great single but the album was never released. Until around the turn of the millenium. (It's called the 'Missing Album' if you wanna get it).
14. FRITES MODERN - '1,000 Aspirines' - Boy Bensdorp Platen - Holland - 1983
From 'Veel, Vet, Goor En Duur'. A little too 'clean' for my liking, but some great songs anyway.
15. THE ROCKS - 'Migraine Headache' - Aberrant LP - Australia - 1984

Not as clean as the LP, so better in my opinion, but why the hell didn't they use all the lyrics of the song (it's the Sesame Street theme tune, if you hadn't realised)? This is the even better 'Roots' version.
