The Best of Brought To Life - 212

1. LOOSE PRICK - 'Jokin Meni Vikaan' -
The opening track from their 'Valkoiset Sotilaat' album. It starts with a good 'un but unfortunately the rest of the album doesn't quite live up to it.
2. ICON - 'Trident' - (Demo - UK - 1981)
Before Icon A.D. there was Icon. Makes sense. Trident was a UK nuclear weapons program. Makes no sense.
3. X-PULSION - 'Heaven Only Knows' - Romantik 7" - Belgium - 1978
You'd probably have never heard this unless you're a regular visitor to Killed By Death the blog, but let's face it, why wouldn't you be? From their only release, a split. E.P. with The Streets.
4. WHITE CROSS - 'I'm Not Listening' – Zero Degree LP – USA – 1983
‘What’s Going On?’ sounded very flat compared to their blazing E.P.  Shame. Though it did have it's moments . . .
5. ICON A.D. - 'Cancer' - Peel session - UK - 1982
One of the few anarcho bands to get a Peel session. Here they reprise one of the highlights of the original 'Bullshit Detector' album.
6. THE TRAGICS - 'Laughing Lover' - Black And White Wreckchords 7" - USA - 1981
Their sole E.P. was released as The Misfits but to avoid confusion (and a possible lawsuit) they quickly changed it to the Tragics.
7. RATSIA - 'Ihohygieniaa' - Hilse-Levyt LP - Finland - 1979
Well, the tune is of course 'Breakdown' by the Buzzcocks but I'm unable to confirm the lyrical content I'm afraid. This is from the 'Hilse' compilation album. It was pretty scarce at the time but Poko have re-released it a couple of times since the turn of the millenium so you should be able to locate it somewhere.
8. THE NORMALS - 'Suzy Suckoff' - Demo - USA - 1978
Available on the '1978 Recordings' CD.
9. CRUCIFIED - 'Let The Kids Play' - Power 7" - USA - 1977
From their sole 'Saint Joan' E.P. which is in honour of their musical hero 'Joan Jett'. Can you tell?
10. WHITE CROSS - 'New And Improved' - Demo - USA - 1983
And it was, although this was never released until Grand Theft Audio did the 'Deaf Dumb and Blind' CD.
11. ICON A.D. - 'No Hope'Peel session - UK - 1982
A second track from their Peel session.
12. THE MATCHHEADS - 'Pearl Harbour' / 'Fat Bitch' - Artiste 7" - USA - 1981
The flipside of sole single 'Cadillac'.
13. VAAVI - 'Lällätys'Hilse-Levyt LP - Finland - 1979
A second track from the 'Hilse' compilation.
14. X-PULSION - 'Schmucks' / 'Castration'Romantik 7" - Belgium - 1978
The other tracks from their split E.P. with The Streets.
15. WHITE CROSS - 'Deaf Dumb And Blind' - Demo - USA - 1983
Available on the CD of the same name.
16. ICON A.D. - 'Backs To The Wall' - Demo - UK - 1983
This was meant to be on their third E.P. but, sadly, it never quite materialised.
17. SENSUURI - 'Back In The U.S.S.R.'Hilse-Levyt LP - Finland - 1979
A third track from the 'Hilse' compilation.
18. THE NORMALS - 'Dog In Heat'Demo - USA - 1978
A second track from the '1978 Recordings' CD.
19. WHITE CROSS - 'Fly Their Flag' Zero Degree LP – USA – 1983
And a second track from ‘What’s Going On?'
20. ICON A.D. - 'Face The Facts'Peel session - UK - 1982
A third track from their Peel session.
21. VANDAALIT - 'Pakkopaita'Hilse-Levyt LP - Finland - 1979
A fourth track from the 'Hilse' compilation.
22. SEIZURE - 'Front Line' - Regressive 7" - USA - 1978
The superior flipside of sole single 'Cutie's Wrong Now'. Never seen a sleeve for this one. From California.
23. REVENGE 88 - 'Neon Light' - JDM 7" - Belgium - 1981
The superior flipside of debut single 'Alone'.
24. THE NORMALS - 'Schoolgirl Domination'Demo - USA - 1978
A third track from the '1978 Recordings' CD.
25. ICON A.D. - 'Money Men'Demo - UK - 1983
