The Best of Brought To Life - 202

1. THE RUNAWAYS - 'Cherry Bomb' - Mercury LP - USA - 1976
The opening track on their debut album which they never bettered in my opinion. The recent biography film seems to think so too. Michael Shannon's performance as Kim Fowley was better than the music.
2. THE ENEMIES - 'Test-Tube Baby' - Raw Productions MLP - USA - 1980
From New York, fronted by Billy Piranha. Great riff. Get the whole thing here.
3. RAINBOW RED OXIDISER - 'Recorded Lies' - Quark LP - USA - 1980
Thanks to Nolti for identifying this one! From their sole album released in both the U.S. and Germany.
4. VIGIL-ANTI - 'Foetal Position' - Aberrant LP - Australia - 1984
From 'Not So Humdrum - the second Aberrant Sydney compilation'.
5. TERVEET KÄDET - 'Minä Haluan Paljon Rahaa' - Ikbal 7" - Finland - 1980
The opening track from their debut 1-sided E.P. 'Rock Laahausta Vastaan'.
6. T.D.K. - 'La Farmacia De Mi Barrio' - La General LP - Spain - 1985
From their first album. Get the whole thing here.
7. WET PICNIC - 'Are You In Touch?' - Unicorn 12" - USA - 1982
The stand out track from their sole E.P. called 'Balls Up'.
8. SUICIDE SQUAD - 'Unwanted'Aberrant LP - Australia - 1984
Another track from 'Not So Humdrum'.
9. CHUZPE - 'I Loved The Sixties' - Schnazz-o-phone 7" - Austria - 1979
I overlooked this one first time around (probably cos it's not as good as 'Charlie Chan') but Killed By Death the blog has shown me the error of my ways.
10. TERVEET KÄDET - 'Mull On Liian Lyhyt Sänky' - Ikbal 7" - Finland - 1981
The opening track from their second 1-sided E.P. 'TK II'.
11. SLEEPY SLEEPERS - 'Väinö' - Oy EMI Finland LP - Finland - 1975
A bit of Finnish proto-punk now. Most of their debut album has a rock 'n' roll feel but if that doesn't put you off you can get the whole thing here.
12. THE ROCKS - 'Kamikaze Twist'Aberrant LP - Australia - 1984
A third track from 'Not So Humdrum'.
13. IGGY POP & JAMES WILLIAMSON - 'Consolation Prizes' - Bomp! LP - USA - 1977
The most danceable track from 'Kill City'.
14. TERVEET KÄDET - 'Message' - Propaganda 12" - Finland - 1983
Only available as a test-pressing until Rock-O-Rama stuck it out with another session as 'Black God'.
15. THE EXSERTS - 'Business Man'Aberrant LP - Australia - 1984
A fourth track from 'Not So Humdrum'.
16. KAARE OG PARTIET - 'Hakekors' - Konk 7" - Norway - 1980
From their sole E.P.  Thanks to Wild Man for helping me to remember it.
17. THE SCABS - 'Frozen Faces' - Refused 7" - Belgium - 1981
The superior flipside of debut single 'So-Called Friends'.
18. TERVEET KÄDET - 'Kumia Ja Verta' - Rock-O-Rama LP - Finland - 1984
This is from the other session that made up the 'Black God' album.
19. THE ENEMIES - 'Products Of The Street'Raw Productions MLP - USA - 1980
The title track from the MLP of the same name.
20. T.D.K. - 'Maleta Para Moscu' - La General LP - Spain - 1985
Another track from their first album.
21. SLEEPY SLEEPERS - 'Liuskis Läyskis Lepakko' - Oy EMI Finland LP - Finland - 1975
Another track from their debut album. ***Bare breasts on the sleeve alert!***
22. THE EXSERTS - 'Countdown'Aberrant LP - Australia - 1984
A fifth track from 'Not So Humdrum'.
23. TERVEET KÄDET - 'A.L.I.E.N.' - Propaganda LP - Finland - 1983
And one from their eponymously titled debut album. It all sounded a bit rushed but this is my favourite track.
24. IGGY POP & JAMES WILLIAMSON - 'Johanna'Bomp! LP - USA - 1977
Another track from 'Kill City'. A love song to the classic Finnish record label. Possibly.
25. STITCHED-BACK FOOT AIRMAN - 'Shake Up' - In Tape 12" - UK - 1987
From Southampton. They tried a lot of different styles but this is the best I've found so far.
***BONUS TRACKS***
26. CHUZPE - '(They Can't Beat) The Beat' (Schnazz-o-phone 7")
27. TERVEET KÄDET - 'Ja Paljon Kuolema' (from 'Black God')

32. ITCHY RAT - 'The Sky Is Falling' (from the 'Not So Humdrum' comp)
33. T.D.K. - 'Israel' (from their first LP)

    1. Thanks for the info Nolti! The bonus tracks are usually from the records covering tracks 1 to 25 so I didn't think anyone would need more info on those, but I'll think about it.
