The Best of Brought To Life - 144

1. THE BIZARROS - 'It Hurts Janey' - Clone 7" - USA - 1978
From their second 7" 'Laser Boys'. It's not about the clap.
2. AGONY BAG - 'Rabies Is A Killer' - Monza 7" - UK - 1980
Sole 7", though there was an Italian retro album that I don't recall hearing, or maybe I did and it wasn't that remarkable?
3. THE NORMALS - 'Same Old '76' - Demo - USA - 1979
Available on the 'Vacation To Nowhere' CD. New Orleans was more than just jazz.
4. D-DAY - 'Too Young To Date' - Moment Productions 7" - USA - 1979
Their debut single. Is this hilarious because it's a girl singing?
5. FRIGG A GO-GO - 'Pre-Teen Love' - 360 Twist 7" - USA - 1996
The flipside of 'Everything Around Me'. I've included this as a comparison with the D-Day track. Bloke singing. Creepy and wrong?
6. LOS MICROWAVES - 'Radio Heart' - Soundchaser 7" - USA - 1979
Second single. Still around too! There's a modern version here.
7. THE HUMANS - 'I Live In The City' - IRS 7" - USA - 1980
Third single. 'I live in the citeeeeeey!'
8. THE FIRST THINGS - 'Bodies In The Back Yard' - Skid 7" - USA - 1982
The opening track from their lone E.P.  Possibly from Illinois.
9. B.G.K. - 'Jonestown Aloha!' - Vögelspin LP - Netherlands - 1986
The title track from their first album is actually from their second (and final) album 'Nothing can Go Wrogn!' Work that one out.
10. THE ESCALATORZ - 'Depression' - Self-Released 10" - Germany - 1981
Curious little band who were active throughout the early '80s. They don't sound German, but are.
11. THE ACCIDENT - 'No Romance For You' - Demo - USA - 1979
Available on the retrospective Chuckie Boy CD. Seattle's finest.
12. THE BEEZ - 'Cos It's Real' - Demo - UK - 1978
And this one can be found on the 'Do The Suicide' retro LP on Crash records.
13. THE NORMALS - 'Got You Running' - Demo - USA - 1979
The Normals moving away from punk? Great song though. Sort of a White Flag vibe circa 1988 except this was a decade earlier.
14. TOT ROCKET AND THE TWINS - 'Reduced' - Whiplash 7" - USA - 1980
Debut single, though you'd probably want the Rave Up album too.
15. THE XTRAVERTS - 'I Hate You' - Demo - UK - 1979
Available on the Bin Liner CD of the same name.
16. THE CELLS - 'Uh-Oh' - Rude 7" - USA - 1979
The first of two singles. A downbeat lament, but oh so catchy!
17. DEMOB - 'Think Straight' - Round Ear 7" - UK - 1981
One from the flipside of 'No Room For You'.
18. THE GO - 'Don't Take Her Away' - Titlewave 7" - USA - 1980
From their debut E.P.  Read more here.
19. THE BEEZ - 'Get Ahead With The Feds' - Demo - UK - 1979
Another from the 'Do The Suicide' album.
20. B.G.K. - 'Blank Stare - Sharp Shot' - Vögelspin LP - Netherlands - 1986
Another from 'Nothing can Go Wrogn!'
21. THE NORMALS - 'Come On Over' - Demo - USA - 1979
A third cracking Normals demo.
22. THE FIRST THINGS - 'Bad Chemicals' - Skid 7" - USA - 1982
There are no bad chemicals, just bad people. Another from their lone E.P.
23. 45 Grave - 'Black Cross' - Goldar 7" - USA - 1981
Debut single. Live on New Wave Theater here.
24. TOT ROCKET AND THE TWINS - 'What Did You Expect?' - Trace Elements 7" - USA - 1980
One from their second E.P. ('Eviction')
25. THE XTRAVERTS - 'Police State' - Rising Sun 7" - UK - 1979
From their split single with Plastic People. In glorious piss-stained vinyl.
***BONUS TRACKS***
