The Best of Brought To Life - 382

1. THE PORK DUKES - 'Dirty Boys'
'S/T' aka 'Pink Pork' - Wood LP - UK - 1978
Indeed they were. And are. This came in a plain white stickered sleeve with a little pig postcard and a dirty insert, if I remember correctly. And pink vinyl, of course.
2. RIBZY - 'Cyanide Pill'
Demo - USA - 1981
Why they were called Ribsy on the 'Not So Quiet' album is a mystery to me. As is how come they didn't manage to release any vinyl of their own.
3. IMPATIENT YOUTH - 'Can You Hear Me?'
Demo - USA - 1979
Another of the better bands from 'Not So Quiet', all the stuff on here being aired on the excellent posthumous album 'Don't Listen' which I featured long ago, but never stops giving. Still, I don't think the intro needs to be 36 seconds long on this one.
4. HEMDALE - 'Delicious Gory Fun'
'In The Name Of Gore' - Visceral Productions LP - USA - 1996
As promised, the other band from this splatter-fest of a split album.
5. PUSSY GALORE - 'Handshake'
'Sugarshit Sharp' - Product Inc MLP - USA - 1988
Probably my favourite Pussy Galore record. Certainly the most consistent.
6. THE PORK DUKES - 'I'm A Guitar'
'Pig Out Of Hell' - Wood LP - UK - 1981
I remember being pleasantly surprised to see them release a second album. I couldn't see them persevering much more than a year or two. How wrong I was. Nowhere near as filthy as their earlier stuff.
7. RIBZY - 'Invasion' / 'Sit' / 'Fuck Me / Ed'
'Growing Pains' - Faction Productions comp. cassette - USA - 1983
8. IMPATIENT YOUTH - 'Don't Listen To The Radio'
Demo - USA - 1979
9. THE CYBERMEN - 'You're To Blame'
Single - Rockaway 7" - UK - 1979
A great single which I've somehow overlooked until now, so many thanks to Wild Devil Man for reminding me
10. THE PORK DUKES - 'Down Down Down'
'S/T' aka 'Pink Pork' - Wood LP - UK - 1978
11. RIBZY - 'Marlon Perkins'
Demo - USA - 1984
12. IMPATIENT YOUTH - 'Were You Popular In High School?'
Demo - USA - 1979
I certainly was not.
13. HEMDALE - 'Tasty Hemorrhoidal Tissue'
'In The Name Of Gore' - Visceral Productions LP - USA - 1996
Mmmmm. Hilarious but gross.
14. PUSSY GALORE - 'Sweet Little Hi-Fi'
'Sugarshit Sharp' - Product Inc MLP - USA - 1988
15. THE PORK DUKES - 'Marxist Leninist Feminist'
'Pig Out Of Hell' - Wood LP - UK - 1981
Probably their greatest song, for me, anyway. Funny funny funny, from start to finish.
16. RIBZY - 'Quicksand'
Demo - USA - much later I suspect
17. IMPATIENT YOUTH - 'Nowhere Street'
Demo - USA - 1979
18. CAPITOL PUNISHMENT - 'Wrong Direction'
'S/T' - Stage Dive 7" - USA - 1986
19. THE PORK DUKES - 'Big Tits'
'S/T' aka 'Pink Pork' - Wood LP - UK - 1978
Evocative of a bad seventies sitcom movie, dontcha think?
20. RIBZY - 'Why Did It Happen?'
Demo - USA - 1981
21. IMPATIENT YOUTH - 'Freedom Tickets'
Demo - USA - 1979
22. PUSSY GALORE - 'Brick'
'Sugarshit Sharp' - Product Inc MLP - USA - 1988
23. THE PORK DUKES - 'My Mother'
'Pig Out Of Hell' - Wood LP - UK - 1981
24. RIBZY - 'All Cut Up'
'Growing Pains' - Faction Productions cassette - USA - 1983
25. IMPATIENT YOUTH - 'Welfare Payments - Social Security'
Live in San Francisco - USA - 1978
26. HEMDALE - 'Artificial Masturbation'
'In The Name Of Gore' - Visceral Productions LP - USA - 1996
I'm not even sure what that means? Sounds like it hurts though.
27. THE CYBERMEN - 'It's You I Want'
Flipside of 'You're To Blame' - Rockaway 7" - UK - 1979
28. PUSSY GALORE - 'Evil Eye'
'Dial 'M' For Motherfucker' - Product Inc LP - USA - 1989
Great title for a very disappointing album. All over the place.
29. IMPATIENT YOUTH - 'We're Dead'
Demo - USA - 1980
30. THE PORK DUKES - 'Loser'
'S/T' aka 'Pink Pork' - Wood LP - UK - 1978
31. RIBZY - 'Rip'
Demo - USA - 1982
32. IMPATIENT YOUTH - 'Take It From Them' / 'Duplicate'
Live in San Francisco - USA - 1978
33. THE PORK DUKES - 'Sick For Sex'
'S/T' aka 'Pink Pork' - Wood LP - UK - 1978
Evocative of a bad seventies sex movie, not that I've ever seen one.
