The Best of Brought To Life - 083

1. THE INSTIGATORS - 'In One Ear . . .' - Bluurg LP - UK - 1985
The opening track from 'Nobody Listens Anymore', their debut album.
2. THE DESTRUCTORS - 'Northern Ripper' - Illuminated LP - UK - 1982
Followed by the opening track from 'Exercise The Demons Of Youth', their debut album. It sounds pretty much like The Blanks' original because they pretty much were The Blanks.
3. THE ZEROS - 'Nice Girls' - Peel session - UK - 1977
Same as the previous version I comped, but slightly better quality.
4. ALIEN BEAT - 'Ge Mej Mer' - Mandarine 7" - 7" - Sweden - 1980
Their debut single. They got increasingly more mainstream with each record after this.
5. THE NOISE - 'Cold Hard Cash' - Think 7" - Australia - 1981
From their only release that I know of, the 'Think About Tomorrow' 3-tracker.
6. THE DOCTORS OF MADNESS - '50s Kids' - Polydor LP - UK - 1978
The opening track from '3rd album 'Sons Of Survival'.
7. VITAMIN - 'French Fries' - Demo - USA - 1981
The only vinyl this lot appeared on was 'A Wicked Good Time volume 2', so it's nice to have some demos.
8. XPOZEZ - 'Burntout Youth' - Retaliation 7" - UK - 1984
From a 5-track E.P. - their penultimate release and much their best.
9. THE INSTIGATORS - 'The Blood Is On Your Hands'Bluurg LP - UK - 1985
Another from 'Nobody Listens Anymore'.
10. F - 'No!' - Intendo Distorto 12" - USA - 1984
I think the word 'gnarly' adequately describes this record, a 12" 6-tracker.
11. SIOUXSIE & THE BANSHEES - 'The Staircase (Mystery)' - Polydor 7" - UK - 1979
Their second single, my personal favourite. Video here.
12. SAD SOCIETY - 'Contaminate' - X-Cert 7" - UK - 1987
From Edinburgh. Their first single after 2 solid demos, though that was all they did in the '80s.
13. GREEN - 'Gotta Get A Record Out'Gang Green LP - USA - 1986
From their self-titled debut album. From Chicago.
14. TOM PETTINGS HERTZATTACKEN - 'Stock In Eisen' - Schallter LP - Austria - 1982
From their self-titled debut album.
15. THE ZEROS - 'Easy Way Out' Peel session - UK - 1977
Same as the previous version, but slightly better quality.
16. XPOZEZ - 'Seditionaries'Retaliation 7" - UK - 1984
Another from their 1984 E.P.
17. THE INSTIGATORS - 'The Church Says' - Bluurg 7" - UK - 1984
From their first E.P. 'The Blood Is On Your Hands'.
18. GREEN - 'Technology' - Gang Green LP - USA - 1986
Another from their self-titled debut album.
19. SIOUXSIE & THE BANSHEES - 'Playground Twist' - Polydor 7" - UK - 1979
3rd single, video here.
20. SAD SOCIETY - 'Nothing To Do' - Helen Of Oi 7" - UK - 1994
Second single. It's out of the normal BTL range time-wise but, what the hell, it continues where the first single left off.
21. TEEZE - 'Assembly Line' - Self-Released 12" - USA - 1982
From  a 5-track one-sided 12" that seemed popular in L.A. back in those days.
22. THE DESTRUCTORS - 'Urban Terrorist'Illuminated LP - UK - 1982
Another track from 'Exercise The Demons Of Youth'.
23. XPOZEZ - 'Nightclub Strategy' - Demo - UK - 1983
Not completely sure of the year but this is one of many demo recordings available on various releases. Go find.
24. SIOUXSIE & THE BANSHEES - 'Christine' - Polydor 7" - UK - 1980
Sixth single, video here.
25. THE INSTIGATORS - 'Ignorance Is Bliss' Bluurg 7" - UK - 1984
