The Best of Brought To Life - 174

1. SHAM 69 - 'Family Life' - Polydor LP - UK - 1978
The opening track from the studio side of debut album 'Tell Us The Truth'.
2. DIOXIN - 'Untitled Instrumental' - Self-released MLP - Germany - 1988
I love side one of this excellent (their only) record. For side two and more info go visit here.
3. THE PORK DUKES - 'Powers' - Demo -  UK - 1979
A surprisingly clean one, available on 'All The Filth' LP/CD.
4. THE DEAD KENNEDYS - 'Hop With The Jet Set' - Alternative Tentacles LP - USA - 1986
One from their final studio album 'Bedtime For Democracy'.
5. THE POP-O-PIES - 'Timothy Leary Lives' - 415 12" - USA - 1981
Frisco humour now with a track from their debut 'White' E.P.
6. K.G.B. - 'Donald Duck Im Pentagon' - Geile Welle 7" - Germany - 1982
From their debut E.P. 'Schneller, Lauter, Besser', though I'm not too sure about the 'schneller' bit.
7. A5 - 'Längst Vorbei?' - No Fun 7" - Germany - 1981
Staying in Germany, this was the flipside of second single 'Kalte Erotik'.
8. HANSJE - 'Silex Pistols Piew Piew' - Bovema Negram 7" - Netherlands - 1978
Silly, silly, silly, but fun, fun, fun!
9. SHAM 69 - 'That's Life' - Polydor LP - UK - 1978
One from their second album 'That's Life'.
10. THE MALIBU KENS - 'Crude City' - Exploding Debut 7" - Canada - 1981
Sole single, also known as 'Be My Barbie'. From Edmonton.
11. THE DEAD KENNEDYS - 'Triumph Of The Swill' - Alternative Tentacles LP - USA - 1986
Another track from 'Bedtime For Democracy'.
12. DIOXIN - 'Mein Rufen' - Self-released MLP - Germany - 1988
Another track from their excellent MLP.
13. SHAM 69 - 'Questions And Answers' - Polydor 7" - UK - 1979
Their seventh single. 'Yes, no, you can't, but you can and you know why'.
14. JOHNNY PALERMO - 'Silly Old Songs' - Hans 7" - Belgium - 1978
A nice old-fashined rocker. Second (and final) single.
15. HURSKAS - 'Isänmaa Huumaa' - Hilse-levyt 7" - Finland - 1980
This ripper is the only thing they did, more's the shame.
16. K.G.B. - 'Gross Stadt Traume' - Geile Welle 7" - Germany - 1982
A second track from 'Schneller, Lauter, Besser', and my personal favourite.
17. SHAM 69 - 'Hersham Boys' - Polydor 7" - UK - 1979
'Robin Hood, Robin Hood, here we are again . . .'  I'm not sure about the Robin Hood bit, but a great mob chorus anyway.
18. THE POP-O-PIES - 'Anna Ripped Me Off' - 415 12" - USA - 1981
Another track from the 'White' E.P.
19. DIOXIN - 'Was Hält Mich' - Self-released MLP - Germany - 1988
A third schizophrenic track from their MLP.
20. THE DEAD KENNEDYS - 'I Fought The Law' - Alternative Tentacles LP - USA - 1987
One from their odds 'n' sods album 'Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death'. It's not about Jello's court case but about Dan White's sordid affair and his infamous 'Twinkie Defense'. Go look it up.
21. SHAM 69 - 'Tell The Children' - Polydor 7" - UK - 1980
They were losing a bit of steam by 1980 but a worthy effort nonetheless.
22. THE MISFITS - 'Ratfink' - Plan 9 7" - USA - 1979
One from the flipside of 'Night Of The Living Dead'. An Allan Sherman cover, apparently.
23. K.G.B. - 'Estestein' - Geile Welle 7" - Germany - 1982
A third track from 'Schneller, Lauter, Besser'.
24. THE PORK DUKES - 'Chat Line' - Demo - UK - 1979
A hilarious filthy one from 'All The Filth'.
25. SHAM 69 - 'Leave Me Alone' - Polydor LP - UK - 1978
And another family rumpus from 'That's Life'.
***BONUS TRACKS***
26. THE POP-O-PIES - 'Truckin'
27. K.G.B. - 'Talkland'
28. DIOXIN - 'Herbst'
29. SHAM 69 - 'Unite And Win'
