2. 7 SECONDS - 'Here's Your Warning' - Better Youth Organisation LP - USA - 1984
What a wonderful breath of fresh air 'The Crew' was. 7 Seconds cleaned up but speeded up to produce 18 tracks of bliss. This was the opener.
3. DREI OKLOK - 'Cunégonde' - Self-released cassette - France - 1985
This was about all they released, but if you're keen, there's also a retrospective CD out there somewhere with added live tracks.
4. THE VARUKERS - 'Die For Your Government' - Riot City 7" - UK - 1983
Third single. I actually prefer the flipside so no doubt I'll add that later.
5. CINDY & THE GIDGET HATERS - 'Pogoin's For Me' - Bomp LP - USA - 1980
From 'The Insane Darrell Wayne's No Disco Album', a very varied compilation of anti-disco tracks. Great name, great sentiment.

A second from 'The Crew'. Dig those harmonies, man.
7. DA SLYME - 'Crazy Glue' - Loo Enterprises Inc 2xLP - Canada - 1980
What do you do when you're an amateur punk band with little musical ability but lots of songs? Why, you make a double album of course! Sadly, they ran out of money after getting it pressed (only a few hundred) and so couldn't afford to do the cover. The solution? They went to the Salvation Army thrift store and bought used records for 25c each, then stuffed their own records into the sleeves and spray painted their name on them. Utter genius. The song titles, however, are generally better than the songs.
