Part II of the Godzilla trilogy and opening track from second album 'Humungousfungusamongus'.
2. MINOR THREAT - 'Filler' - Dischord 7" - USA - 1981
From their first E.P. Can't tell you much more than you don't already know. Red sleeve and yellow labels, if you want the original.
3. THE HEADCLEANERS - 'Dying In Maze' - Malign Massacre 7" - Sweden - 1981
From the 'Disinfection' 7-song E.P. They were more or less a studio project, sometimes recording in English, sometimes in Swedish where they called themselves Huvudtvätt. This one, about the Maze Prison hunger strike, contains the immortal line: 'They hope to be the winners so they don't eat their dinners'.
4. THE GUEST STARS - 'Bean Bag Charmers' - One Hit Wonder 7" - Australia - 1980
From the 'Don't Wait For The Album' 3-track 7". Over to Wallaby Beat for the full story of this obscure little gem.
5. THE HOBBS - 'Bop Around The Shop' - Big 7" - UK - 1978
Their only single. They did have a planned 7" the year before on DJM records but they were dropped in favour of Satans Rats. It's rumoured that these tracks will be unleashed on Bored Teenagers #7 (on Detour) pretty soon.
6. 76% UNCERTAIN - 'Coffee Achievers' - Shmegma LP - USA - 1984
After the demise of C.I.A. and Reflex From Pain, 76% Uncertain rose from the ashes somewhere in Connecticut. This is from their first album 'Estimated Monkey Time'.
7. THE SCREAMERS - '122 Hours Of Fear (Part I) - Demo - USA - 1978
A menacing blast from the legendary Screamers. No doubt you'll get Part II later.
8. THE HEADCLEANERS - 'With Medication' - Xcentric Noise 7" - Sweden - 1983
Only 6 tracks this time, released on the UK-based Xcentric Noise Records who enthusiastically promoted international hardcore.
9. THE TRENDSETTERS - 'Catholic Girls' - Mystic Oak 7" - USA - 1981
From Pennsylvania. This was the third track on their 'Set The Trend' E.P. - their sole release. There is, however, a video here.
10. ADRENALIN O.D. - 'A Nice Song In The Key Of D' - Buy Our Records 7" - USA - 1986
Taken from 'Humungousfungusamongus'. The B-side is the third part of the Godzilla trilogy called 'Return to Beneath The Planet Of Adrenalin O.D. vs Godzilla Strikes Again In 3-D'. You get the idea.
11. HUVUDTVÄTT - 'Hängd' - Really Fast LP - Sweden - 1984
The opening track from their split LP with Kurt I Kuvös: 'Vårt Fria Land'.
12. MINOR THREAT - 'Out Of Step' - Dischord 7" - USA - 1981
From the 2nd E.P. Half the tracks, twice the speed.
13. 76% UNCERTAIN - 'Constant Change' - Shmegma LP - USA - 1984
Another classic from 'Estimated Monkey Time'. 'You used to be so positive, but you're second-guessing now, you never can tell just the way it's gonna be, just what fate the future holds'.
14. RED ALERT - 'We've Got The Power' - No Future LP - UK - 1983
Opening track from their debut album of the same name.
15. PLASTIC E.P. AND THE RECORDS - 'Well, You Want To Make A Record?' - Demo - Australia - 1981
Straight over to Wallaby Beat again for an explanation.
16. FRED CASS AND THE CASSETTES - 'Young Talent Team Xmas' - Fred Cassette Co 7" - Australia - 1981
From his second E.P. backed by various members of The Sports (and their daughters), The News, The Skyhooks and The Schizophrenias.
17. ADRENALIN O.D. - 'Youth Blimp' - Buy Our Records LP - USA - 1986
Another from 'Humungousfungusamongus'.
18. THE SCREAMERS - '122 Hours Of Fear (Part II) - Demo - USA - 1978
As promised, Part II, which pretty much picks up where Part I left off, but if I hadn't included it you'd have only asked for it. I know you would.
19. MINOR THREAT - 'Salad Days' - Dischord 7" - USA - 1985
Their posthumous 3rd 7" - recorded in 1983.
20. ADRENALIN O.D. - 'Saturday Night' - Demo - USA - 1986
Available as a bonus track on a CD re-release of 'Humungousfungusamongus'. There's nothing quite like a Bay City Rollers cover. Live here.
21. ELANO B - 'Diane' - Shark 7" - UK - 1981
A bit of post-punk melancholy now to break things up a bit. As far as I know, their only single.
22. RED ALERT - 'S.P.G.' - Demo - UK - 1982
Better than the version on the album.
23. ADRENALIN O.D. - 'Brady Bunch Theme' - Demo - USA - 1984
A thrash/Oi crossover TV theme cover. Is that a genre? Available on a CD re-issue of 'The Wacky Hi-Jinks of Adrenalin O.D.'
24. RED ALERT - 'It's Me Boys' - No Future LP - UK - 1983
The pub-crawl closing track from 'We've Got The Power'.
25. HUVUDTVÄTT - 'Huvudtvätt' - Really Fast LP - Sweden - 1984
Their last track from 'Vårt Fria Land'. This footage is reputedly from their only ever live show.
