Brought To Life was a labour of love, a series of 2,000 CD-Rs which ardently archived a plethora of Punk/Post-Punk/Hardcore/Powerpop/Mod/Ska and New Wave recordings from the mid-1970s to the end of the 1990s.
BTL the Blog shares the very best of those tracks with everyone out there with an unquenchable thirst for the rare (and not-so-rare) gems from a much loved but bygone era.

Happy holidays
A limited time (as with all Zippyshare links) re-up of the first 5 comps. 001002003004005
Thank you very much for the first 5 comps! I was wondering how many comps are left in your collection? If there were 2,100 originally does that mean you have 1,650 comps left or are you only posting the best of each CDr? Thank you!
Hi Jeff. The original Brought To Life CDs are in residence in Canada and Sweden, so I no longer have them. I only have the 500 Best Of CDs now and, to be honest, I'm not sure when I'll get round to posting the last 50. I've moved on to another project (not music or punk related) which will take up most of my spare time. When I started the blog I really hoped it would become interactive with many discussions sparked because of the content. This, alas, did not happen. We live in an age of information overload where people can barely look up from their phones while crossing the road, never mind hold a decent conversation, wich is sad and frustrating and so I've lost all interest in the blog at this point. I love the music, I really do, but the lack of response to it has moved me on to doing other things with my time. The original 2,100 CDs had many tracks which were simply sub-standard album fillers and many whole records that I didn't think very much of at the time which is why I got rid of them and condensed the whole collection into 500 CDs of only the good stuff. Which, of course, is only my opinion, but that's the one I'm stuck with, I'm afraid!
Punk Archivist, Thank you for taking the time to respond. I wish you the best in your future endeavors and if you post the final fifty BTL you will have at least one person grateful for it. And I can't believe no one has responded to or posted The Didjit's Durga! & Whoop cassettes!
Thanks for this and for all your hard work. Have a nice holidays
