1. PANKRTI - 'Kruha
In Iger' - RTV Ljubljana LP - Yugoslavia - 1980
Pankrti's debut album
'Dolgcajt' is one of the best Yugoslav
albums I've heard, and by far their best. From what is now (and was before) Slovenia.
2. HANS-A-PLAST -
'Rock 'n' Roll Freitag' - Lava LP - Germany - 1979
You could say the
same thing about Hans-A -Plast's self-titled debut. The one with the rat on the cover.
3. ELTON MOTELLO -
'Artificial Insemination' - RKM LP - UK - 1978
Meanwhile back in Blighty (via Belgium) they feared the future. From debut album 'Victim Of Time'.
4. THE OFFBEATS -
'I'm Confused' - Terminal LP - USA - 1982
And since I've been
on an Offbeats kick you'll need their track from 'Cleveland Confidential'.
5. THE FEISTY CADAVERS
- 'Flash Rocker' - FSN 7" - USA - 1988
The sleeve suggested
'Misfits' but the music said otherwise. From debut E.P. 'Dead Give Away'.
6. PANKRTI -
'Poèitnice Na Morju' - RTV Ljubljana LP - Yugoslavia - 1980
A second track from 'Dolgcajt'.
7. HANS-A-PLAST -
'Lederhosentyp' - Lava LP - Germany - 1979
And a second from their self-titled debut.
Going by the intro it could well be about Olivia Newton John's super-tight leggings.
My German pals will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong.
8. FRÆBBBLARNIR - 'No
Friends' - Fálkinn 7" - Iceland - 1981
A track from their second E.P. 'Bjor'.
9. ELTON MOTELLO -
'Sha La La La Lee' - RKM LP - UK - 1978
An oft covered
old Small Faces song which they didn't write and didn't like much. From 'Victim Of Time'.
10. THE SEVERE - 'Her
Name Was Jane' - Terminal LP - USA - 1982
Another track from
'Cleveland Confidential'. I'm pretty sure the Pagans covered this one.
11. PANKRTI -
'Totalna Revolucija' - RTV Ljubljana LP - Yugoslavia - 1980
A third from 'Dolgcajt'. From my elementary Slovene classes I think it translates along the lines
of 'Total Revolution'.
12. HANS-A-PLAST -
'Monopoli' - Lava LP - Germany - 1979
Hans-A-Plast got very
irritated when the couldn't pass 'Gehen' or
collect 200 Deutschmarks.
13. JOHN LOVSIN -
'Key Of E' - Terminal LP - USA - 1982
A lighter tune from
'Cleveland Confidential'.
14. 77 - 'Obièna
Svar' - Demo - Yugoslavia - 1982
This lot never got to
make a record. From Pula, Croatia.
15. ELTON MOTELLO -
'Get The Guy' - RKM LP - UK - 1978
Another excellent composition from 'Victim Of Time'.
16. PANKRTI - 'Civili
In Vojaki' - RTV Ljubljana LP - Yugoslavia - 1980
A fourth track from 'Dolgcajt'.
17. HANS-A-PLAST -
'Ich Zünd Mich An' - No Fun LP - Germany - 1981
This one's from their
aptly titled second album 'II'.
18. THE FEISTY
CADAVERS - 'Live Like Vampires' - FSN 7" - USA - 1989
Their second
E.P. 'Dying Art' did sound a bit more like the
Misfits. Loved this track.
19. THE DEFNICS -
'Suicide Trip' - Terminal LP - USA - 1982
An unusually slower
one by the Defnics from 'Cleveland Confidential'.
20. FORT & GÆLI -
'N.S.B.' - Reiten 7" - Norway - 1981
Their sole single, more's the shame.
21. PANKRTI - 'Jest
Sem Na Liniji' - RTV Ljubljana LP - Yugoslavia - 1980
A fifth track from 'Dolgcajt'.
22. HANS-A-PLAST -
'Monstertanz' - No Fun LP - Germany - 1983
From disappointing third album 'Ausradiert'.
23. ELTON MOTELLO -
'Falling Like A Domino' - Attic LP - UK - 1980
One from second album 'Pop Art'.
24. THE LAB RATS -
'Cover Song, End Of Side One' - Terminal LP - USA - 1982
Love the way they
titled this one. The pressing plant couldn't afford to mess it up. From
'Cleveland Confidential'.
25. PANKRTI -
'Sedemnajst' - RTV Ljubljana LP - Yugoslavia - 1980
And a sixth track from 'Dolgcajt'.
***BONUS TRACKS***

In Prazni' (from 'Dolgcajt')

Hello! This Is Great Blog, THX ! KUD IDIJOTI & PARAF are both Croatian bands !
ReplyDeleteThe first come from Pula and the other from Rijeka. They played in the time of Yugoslavia and after the war of the 1990s are kept as Croatian bands ! :-) :-)
Thanks for the corrections - I was mistaken by the record labels!
