The English New York
Dolls? They were pretty much doing the same thing at the same time but glam went way beyond either band and it was the slightly less sleazy others that ended up hitting the charts. Their debut album 'Grown Up Wrong' wasn't even released until after they'd split up. This was the opening track. Read all about it here.
