1. PROTES BENGT -

Every few tracks on this comp you'll get a liitle sting in your ear. Don't worry, it's just Protes Bengt who with their 'In Bengt We Trust' E.P. managed to cram 32 songs onto a 7" E.P. Impressive as it was, this only inspired other japesters to do even better, so by no means is it a record.
2. THE BOOKS -

An immensely catchy synth/pop/new wave effort. Many thanks to Bruce over at My Life's A Jigsaw for furnishing me with the mp3.
3. MOTÖRHEAD -
'Motörhead' (live) - Bronze 7" - UK - 1981
As punks, we all loved Motörhead. Fast, loud rock without the pretense of 'eavy metal. This is the definitive live version of their early anthem which I'll put in the bonus tracks for comparison.
4. ROUTE 66 - 'Good
Times Rock 'n' Roll' - City Rocker LP - Japan - 1982
From 'Outsider', a rough arsed Japanese sampler if ever there was one. All tracks were recorded live, and I prefer this lot to some of the bigger names that graced the album.

I remember getting this one at the time and being initially pretty disappointed that it didn't sound much like the Dickies. Grew to love it in the end though. Again, thanks to Bruce for supplying the mp3s.
